Swing Kids entstand Mitte der 90er aus einer Mischung von obskurem Punk, Hardcore und geografisch spezifischer Sozialpolitik. Die Band, bestehend aus Justin Pearson, Jose Palafox, John Brady und Eric Allen, ließ sich von der Ethik der Jazz- und Swing-Ära inspirieren und kreierte eine Reihe genreübergreifender Musik. Die Band war kurzlebig und dokumentierte ihre gesamte Existenz in einer Handvoll Songs/Veröffentlichungen über ein paar Jahre. Zum ersten Mal wurden alle ihre Tracks von Brent Asbury remastered und in einer physischen Veröffentlichung, der kompletten „Anthology“, veröffentlicht.
